Repeating the kalimah after unknowingly committing kufr

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If someone commits kufr unknowingly or forgetfully or unintentionally, does he require to say shahadah again? If yes, then how it is that if someone committed kufr unintentionally and still he got out of Islam and became kafir? How can he be guilty of kufr while he had no intention doing it?

Bismillaah

A: It is better that he says it again.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
