Q: I have an illness of the heart which is that I want to be liked by people… and I imagine many things in my head that I am doing this and people are liking me… this desire is very strong in me… how do I get rid of it?
A: It is not possible for one to please everybody all the time. Hence, be more concerned about your relationship with Allah Ta’ala. Similarly, at all times, you should ensure that you fulfill the commandments of Allah Ta’ala and the rights of the servants of Allah Ta’ala.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
