Respecting and obeying one’s mother

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

Q: I m very disobedient son of my mother, and she stays unhappy with me, i always try to be good and be obedient but sometimes i loose control over myself and do things which she hasnt allowed me. Today i said a deep sorry to her and made a dua for forgiveness as well, i want to be an obedient son, so i can be successful in life and make my mother happy. So what can i do? Is there any special way to keep god control over myself or any wazifa that will make have god control over myself and be obedient.

A: Firstly, seek your mother’s forgiveness for all the disobedience that you have thus far shown to her. At the same time, try to present her with some gift etc. to please her heart. In future, don’t respond impulsively to whatever your mother may say. Instead, wait and think what will be the repercussion of your response, and only if it is favourable then you may respond. Otherwise, remain silent.

These are matters that are learnt under the tutorship of some righteous experienced person. Like a wazeefah does not teach maths, you will have to learn it.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
