Q: I was told by a Sheikh that ass could be an improper word depending on how it is used. Screw, crap, and freaking (not the definition of panicking) are all appropriate to say. I’m very confused. I was asking if the words that I listed are permissible in Islam, because lots of da’ees, student of knowledge, laymen, etc. use these words and other words that I listed. Could you kindly shed some light on this matter?

Bismillaah

A: The simple thing is that leave out things that are doubtful.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
