Can You Marry Your Wife’s Sister in Islam?

Q: I am asking this question on behalf of my friend. He is married and got 2 kids. His wife got postnatal depression and he is thinking of marrying his wife’s sister so she can lookafter his kid. Is it allowed in Islam to marry one’s wife’s sister? 

Bismillaah

A: It is not permissible to marry two sisters at the same time.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
