The wives of Hazrat Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)

Q: Is Rayhana bint Zayd Muhammed (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam’s) wife’s name. Also please could you state all of his wives names?


A: She was from the captives of the Banu Quraizah or Banu Nadheer and came into the ownership of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). According one view she was married to Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).

The following is a list of the names of the honourable wives of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam):

1. Hadhrat Khadijah (radhiyallahu anha)

2. Hadhrat `Aaishah (radhiyallahu anha)

3. Hadhrat Hafsah (radhiyallahu anha)

4. Hadhrat Safiyyah (radhiyallahu anha)

5. Hadhrat Sowdah (radhiyallahu anha)

6. Hadhrat Zaynab binte Jahsh (radhiyallahu anha)

7. Hadhrat Zaynab binte Khuzaymah (radhiyallahu anha)

8. Hadhrat Umme Habeebah (radhiyallahu anha)

9. Hadhrat Umme Salimah (radhiyallahu anha)

10. Hadhrat Juwayriyyah (radhiyallahu anha)

11. Hadhrat Maymoonah (radhiyallahu anha)
