Sharing verses of the Qur’an and Ahaadith on social media

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is sending Islamic quotes, verses, hadeeths and other content related to Quran and Islam on social media like whatsapp and facebook for the sake of sawab and dawat allowed in Islam?

Bismillaah

A: I suggest that all these things be done under the guidance of some well experienced and righteous understanding Ulama. Many a times things are quoted either out of context or it is not at the level of the people receiving it thus creating confusion in their minds.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
