Parents not allowing the child do hifz

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I would like to start full time Hifz next year InshaAllah for the sake of Allah, but my parents refuse to let me because they want me to continue my schooling (even though boys and girls are mixed in one class) and go to university. Is there any dua that I can recite to soften their hearts so that they can agree to let me complete my hifz?

Bismillaah

A: Start off ta`leem in the house of Fazaa’il-e-A`maal occasionally and read the section of Fazaa’il-e-Qur’aan. Do the ta`leem with your parents as far as possible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
