Commencing one’s speech with praising Allah Ta’ala

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When addressing an audience of five or more people, what is the correct sunnah procedure? Do I commence with praising Allah and deliver my speech or do I commence with salaam and deliver my speech?

Bismillaah

A: When meeting them, you should make salaam. Thereafter you should commence your speech with praising Allah Ta’ala and expressing gratitude for His grace and bounties.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
