House purchased on interest

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I own a riba house and want to get rid of it for free. Problem is, my sister lives there who refuses to sell, parents are arguing with me not to sell and my wife wants to either repossess the house or she wants a share. Please give me your opinion.

Bismillaah

A: If the house is not yet paid for then insist on selling it and all should engage in istighfaar and taubah and promise Allah Ta`ala never to go back to riba.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
