Attending the walimah of a person who receives zakaat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A person in my family is arranging a walima dinner for his son. As he is poor, he is going to pay the dinner expenditures from the amount of zakaat received by others (including myself). My question is, is it permissible for me to attend the walima dinner?

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible for you to attend the walimah da’wat.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
