Standing in a line to meet visiting Ulama

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When Moulanas, etc. come to the masjid to perform Zikr, give talks etc., it is common practice for musallis to stand in a line and shake the hand of the Moulana, etc. Is this an established practice according to Sunnah?

Bismillaah

A: This is not a sunnat method, but it is not impermissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
