Using Interest to pay Registration Costs

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

 I want to know if the following is permissible…

1. I have recently bought a house and now the attorneys are asking me to pay registration and bond costs, can I offset these payments by

using Interest money?

2. Can I use somebody else’s interest money to offset those payments?

3. can I use the interest money that I have accrued on my 32 day call account to offset my water and lights and rates and tax fees every month?

The cost of registration, charges of water and lights, rates and taxes are all permissible charges according to Shari’ah.  Therefore to pay these charges and fees with interest money is unlawful.  You cannot offset these payments by using interest money.
