Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

I have a doubt regarding fasting me and my husband couldnt take the previous year ramadan fasting  fully because we got chicken pox.I heard if we miss the fasting we should take ‘Qada’ fasting before the next  ramadan,If  we couldnt take within that we have to take double the number  of fasting before the next ramadan and so on like tripple the number after that second year  ramadhan.

please give me  an answer

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

In principle if one misses a fast due to some illness he or she, should only make one Qada for every fast missed.

The Qada fast could be kept all in continuity or with intervals between them.

One should make Qada of the fast as soon as possible, however if you feel you would not manage keeping them now, then you should keep them at a more convenient time.
