hi I was looking online for a dua to say before bed and being not well learnt was confused at the different ones…..can you recommend one for me to say upon going to sleep and upon wakening please? thank you

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
A very short and good dua to recite before going to bed is the following:-
Allahumma bi-ismika Amutu wa Ahya.
‘O Allah, with your name I die and rise’. (Bukhari, Muslim)
Upon waking, you should recite:-
Alhamdu lillahillazi Ahyaana ba’da Maa Amaatana wa ilahin nushoor.
‘All praises are for Allah Who Has given us life after He Has caused us to die, and towards Him is the return’. (Bukhari)
