Is it permissible to eat Crows, Magpies & Ostrich?
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
Answer:
Birds that do not hunt with their claws and do not prey on other animals, rather they merely eat grains and crops are considered halal. Therefore, consuming crow, magpies and ostrich will be permissible. (Fatawa Hindiyyah p.289 v.5)
