Question

Can a widow travel with her father in law after the death of her husband?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

The relationship of a father-in-law is a relationship of a Mahram.[1] Therefore, it would be permissible for a daughter-in-law to travel with her father-in-law after the death of her husband if there is no fear of Fitna between them.

Only Allah knows best
