Question

I am a Muslim boy and I was in love with a Hindu girl. She wanted to marry me and we committed Zina 8-10 times. But unfortunately, she got married to a Hindu boy last month. She said she will not come to me in the future. She was

born in a Hindu Brahmin family but she told me before her marriage she

never like idol worship she said my family forces me to go to the temple I didn’t like to go but I want to find a true God. She used to recite kalma tawheed and whenever she felt stressed r depressed she hear naat and says I felt so relaxed. She desires to go for Hajj. Being Hindu but she always advised me and insisted me to offer salah five times n always use to call me for fajar salah, she also tried to fast in this Ramadan but can’t make it til iftar due to thirst n she

always tell me to do good deeds in an Islamic way. But whenever I felt that I didn’t help her I didn’t show her the true message. Before her marriage, I always thought that I will forget her but now I feel so bad n guilty that due to my mistake she will follow shirk n will go to hell. She never tried to hurt any1. This guilt is killing me from inside, once I thought of ending my life but the face of my parents stopped me. I know with guilt I cant live. Its due to that girl I pray 5-time salah, I cry and repent in front of Allah but what shall I do for that girl so

that she gets hidayah. She doesn’t want to talk to me anymore, because she doesn’t want to annoy her husband because knowing the truth of both of us that

we committed sin he still loves and respects her. Please tell me what shall I do So that Allah gives her strength to take step toward Islam, she is married now n

therefore can’t do whatever she did in her previous home and her husband didn’t let her to do that. She is alone there no one except Allah is there to help her. Please tell me what shall I do so that Allah gives her hidayah.

Answer

You should firstly, stop contemplating and thinking about this girl. This is nothing but Satan trying to lead you astray. Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) has said, “Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.” (Surah Fatir v.6)

Islam is a religion that instructs its followers to be moral and modest and does not allow its followers to tread the path of immorality and immodesty.  Allah enjoys on both males and females to restrain their eyes from looking at each other. “Enjoin the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their modesty… Likewise, enjoin the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty… (Surah An Nur: 30-31)

Ahadith on the prohibition of men and women intermingling are many. Jarir ibn Abdullah narrates that I asked the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) about the sudden glance (that is cast) on the face (of a non-Mahram). He commanded me that I should turn away my eyes. (Muslim, 1015)

Uqba bin Amir narrates that the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, “Beware of entering upon the ladies.” A man from the Ansar said, “Allah’s Apostle! What about the in-laws of the wife?” The Prophet replied, “The in-laws of the wife are death itself.” (Bukhari, Vol 7, 159)

My humble advice to you will be to repent of your previous actions and stop thinking about this girl. You can pray for her guidance but importantly, do not get obsessed with what happened before. It was a mistake and you should repent for it. Insha Allah if you are patient, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) will reward you with someone better than her.
