Is it important to recite Surah in a specific order during Salah, or can it be random?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have heard from few sources that one must recite surah in an order which is mentioned in Quran during Salah else salah would be considered as makrooh. For example in first rakah one can recite Surah al-Masad and in second rakah it can be al-Ikhlas. However I do not find any Hadith etc. for this. Please clarify if this is important to recite surah in an order or it can just be random?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1441/1072/D=1433)

The order of the holy Quran is tauqifi i.e. it is fixed from Almighty Allah. It is wajib to read it on the same order. Hence it was makrooh doing against it. It is mentioned in Shami:
وان يقرأ منكوسا بان يقرأ فى الثانية سورة اعلى مما قرأ فى الاولى لان ترتيب السور فى القرأة من واجبات التلاوة وانما جوز للصغار تسهيلا لضرورة التعليم . شامى ص: 404
