Assalamu alaikum vo rahmatullahi va barkatuhu, iam a doctor an i would like to know whether if it is permissible to get gifts from medical representatives? in turn of priscribing the products of there company? 2. can we fix a certain amount of percentage agreed upon both parties i.e doctor and company for which if doc writes the products the company pays the percentage from the profit?. kindly reply allahhafiz
Answer:
(Fatwa: 71/71/M=1432)
It is not right to fix percentage. However, if the company gives some gifts as reward on writing the medicines, it may be allowed if there is no harm in taking it, otherwise not.
