(Fatwa: 634/631=N)
One should pray for promotion of the Prophet’s grade and maqam-e-mahmood (exalted position) for him, one should not seek forgiveness for him since the prophets are sinless:
قال تعالی: انا فتحنا لک فتحاً مبیناً لیغفر لک اللہ ما تقدم من ذنبک و ما تأخر (الآیۃ) و الانبیاء علیھم السلام کلھم منزھون ای معصومون عن الصغائر والکبائر والکفر والقبائح (شرح فقہ اکبر: 68)
By offering good salah one can not reach to the level of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), but what did the person mean by this sentence: ?anyone who offers good salah can reach to the level of Nabi-e-Kareem Sallahhu alaihi wasalam?. Ask the same person to write what he meant from this sentence, and then we shall answer the question in detail.
