Now we are receiving application for educational help for ladies who want to do professional courses such as bca (bachelor of computer science), mba (master of business adminstation ) as well as bams, bums, mbbs & also d.ed . These all are girls or ladies whose parent canÂ’t affort huge fees for these course. The girls want to study and be self reliant. Answer

(Fatwa: 695/691=N)

You can help the poor Muslim boys and girls by the collected zakah money from the above-mentioned fund in a way that you hand over the zakah money to them and they use it in their medical and educational needs; since giving the money in possession of the poor is compulsory: ویشترط أن یکون الصرف تملیکاً لا اباحۃ (در مختار: 3/291)

If you paid the educational fees or paid the bill of medical expenses directly without giving the money in their possession, then the zakah will not be valid.

Note: Spending the above-mentioned money in the help of poor women is not allowed until the contributors of zakah allow it.
