If somebody is saving money for the marriage of his daughter and son. Is zakat payable for this money which he is saving.now u may ask why he has to save money because it takes lot of money for the marrige?
Answer:

When the amount is in your possession and you did not spend it in marriage, then you have to pay zakah incurred on the amount, provided you possess the wealth equal to nisab (prescribed amount) of zakah for a complete lunar year.
