How are Prophets considered masum according to Islamic beliefs?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
The followers of Abul Ala Maududi say that all the Prophets are not masum. But I believe that they are masum. Please answer me how the Prophets are masum?

Answer

(Fatwa: 407/413/N=1433)

It is mentioned in the books of beliefs that the Prophets (عليهم الصلاة والسلام) are innocent. Hence the view of Maududi Sahib that Prophets are not innocent is against the beliefs of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah.
