salamun alaik reffering to the fatwa id: 8824. you asked me for further details when the nikaah took place the girl was present there and the person who read the khutuba of nikaah asked her whether she agrees to marry the boy or not.and she replied yes(as she was completely willing to marry) my previous question was: two persons liked each other and they decided to marry.the person who read the khutuba of nikaah stayed witness from girls side(he was the only witness from her side).and another witness was a friend of theirs.and another friend was also present there but not as witness.the boy hasnt taken the girl to his home yet(their parents do know that they like each other but they dont know about their marriage)can ther continue their relation at minimum

In the abovementioned case, if there were three other persons except the girl and the Nikah procedure was made in their presence then the Nikah is valid. If the two want to continue the Nikah they can do so. But, they are advised to inform their family members about their Nikah so that they can formally meet with the consent of family members.
