I, Masud Ar Rashid residing at South Kazipara, Barasat, 24 Parganas (N), Kolkata -700124 son of Md. Momin. I have an earnest request that I desire to know the fatwa against the marriage status describe below. I got married on 06.07.2002 with one of my cousin named Masuma Khatun, residing at North Kazipara, Barasat, 24 Parganas(N), Kolkata -700124, daughter of Syed Mosaraf Ali, as per the regulation of Muslim Personal Law. Soon after marriage the conflict occurred both of our family. She was staying at her father’s house since marriage, on that time there was a relation with both of us. I usually visited their house to meet her. After two years that is early March of 2004 we got stay separated and never meet again till early week of June, 2008 and on that time conflict again raised. I had sent her divorce paper according to Muslim Personal Law on 07.08.2008 but she refused the same and remained silent till middle of September, 2010. During this time she claimed or has gone for any legal action.

She was divorced after you send written talaqnama. If she did not receive then too the talaq took place (immediately after you wrote). Whatever talaq i.e. raja’i, bainah or three talaqs you wrote, it took place.
