Our local mufti says that if the mayyat (dead body) is out of mosque n there is one saf (line of people ) out side the mosque , then other people can offer the funeral prayer inside the mosque , what you suggest?

It is makrooh-e-tanzeehi (undesirable) to pray funeral salah in mosque. Those who will pray in mosque they will commit karahah (undesirability). In a Hadith, it is stated: من صلی علی جنازۃ فی المسجد فلا شئ لہ (طحطاوی: 596)Where as the author of Durr-e-Mukhtar preferred that it is makrooh-e-tareemi: والمختار الکراھۃ مطلقاً (الشامی: 1/653)
