Is tobacco smoking or chewing in islam is haram? kindly answer with refrence. zazakallah
Answer:
(Fatwa: 1054/1054=M/1429)
The tobacco which causes intoxication is haram as the Hadith says: every intoxicant is haram. But, the tobacco which is smelly (not intoxicant) it is makrooh (undesirable) while one which is free from intoxication and bad smell is lawful.
