I am going to get married soon in-sha-Allah, but I have a doubt about the mahr. Can I give the mahr as gold instead of money which will be as replacement of same amount as or more than that. Or it is not applicable or we have to give only money to the bride on that day of marriage. Please reply me as soon as possible.

If both the parties agree then it is right without any doubt to give more mahr or more gold than what was fixed earlier.
