Assalamualaikum Q)Islamic School has collection of zakaat money can the money be given to children (whos perents are in debts or the parents are finding it difficult to pay the fees)or to there parents to pay the School fees not telling them that this is zakaat money?
Answer:
(Fatwa: 1417/1417=M=1430)
You can give the Zakah amount to their parents if they are poor, under debt and deserve Zakah. If the children are mature, they also can be given. It is not necessary to inform them that it is Zakah.
