Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh: Dear Respeced Ulama, i would like to ask a quick question & clarify something..? My mother has been saving money for the past year hoping to go hajj..? does she have to pay zakath on that saving?

Yes, zakah shall be liable on the amount if it equal to nisab amount and a year had passed on it. If it is not equal to nisab, but she owns some more gold or silver and the total wealth is equal to nisab then also the Zakah shall be necessary.
