My mother in law took 3 lakh rupees from the client and gave her house for 2 years period. After 2 years she will return the 3 lakh rupees and take back the house. Client is not paying any rent. Is this jayez for my mother in law. Please advise.

In the above mentioned case, it is not lawful to take or give house by taking or giving money rather it is unlawful dealing. According to Shariah, it is equal to interest to take a house as rihan (mortgage) by giving loan and receive benefit from the house.
