It is very common practice in our society that ‘Mahr’ is accounted in the form of Asharfi. So, I wish to know how much amount of gold or silver in ‘one Asharfi’. (i.e. 1 Ashrafi= how many grams of gold or silver).

Ashrafi is gold coin which weighs 4.5 masha. In today’s weight the weight of 4.5 masha is equal to 4.374 gram (4 gram and 374 milligram). So one Ashfrafi contains 4.374 gram gold. (al-Awzan al-Mahmudah, p. 69, pub. Darul Kitab, Deoband)
