Recently, I exchanged my mobile with an unknown person’s mobile phone. But I lied him that my mobile’s battery timing is more than a day but actually its battery timing was not good. But that person also lied me that his mobile is working properly and in good condition but actually it’s WIFI signals catching power was very weak and there was also a brown mark on his mobile phone screen. I have downloaded many Islamic books and Quran apps in his mobile phone. My question is that is it permissible for me to read and gain Islamic knowledge from these books that I downloaded on his mobile as I got this mobile by telling a lie?

As per the question mentioned above, it is lawful to read the downloaded books and the Holy Quran in the said mobile, but you must do taubah and istighfar for telling a lie and cheating.
