What is the Hadith reference for the three signs of a hypocrite?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have heard from our respected Ulama about the sings of hypocrite. Can you please provide me the Hadith reference for the same?
The sings of a hypocrite are three:
(1) Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
(2) Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise).
(3) If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (if you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)

Yes, all these three signs of a munafiq ‘amli (hypocrite by action) are mentioned in hadith. A munafiq itiqadi (hypocrite by belief) is one who is kafir by heart and show himself as Muslims. These types of hypocrites existed at the time of the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), while later there remained only hypocrites by action or infidels or apostates.

This hadith is mentioned in Mishkat (p. 17) with the reference of Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. (N)
