Should salaah be stopped to answer parents or continue and answer after completion?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
If I am performing salaah and one of my parents calls me, should I terminate my salaah and answer them or should I continue with my salaah and answer them when I am finished?

(Fatwa: 722/538=L/1430)

If you are offering fardh salah and your parents are not calling you due to some problem, you are not allowed to cancel your salah:

But, if you are offering nafl salah and the parents know it, then also one may continue his salah, but if they are unaware one should cancel the salah and respond them:

Allah knows Best!
