Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

There are two issues in your query.

1) Purchasing food with halal money.

2) Cutting the queue.

If one purchased food with halal money, the food will be halal. However, cutting the line is unislamic. Whilst being sensitive to halal food is imperative, it is equally important to display good character and conduct. How would you feel if someone had to cut the queue while you are waiting for your turn?

Consider the hadith:

Narrated Anas:

The Prophet () said, “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.”

(Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 13)In-book reference : Book 2, Hadith 6)

Cutting the queue is an injustice done and a sin. One should make tawba to atone for the sin of injustice and avoid such injustice in the future.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
