Please clarify if it wrong to wear ones trousers while in a standing position.
I received a message stating that to wear ones lower garments while standing removes barakah.
If it is correct. Please advise how to get dressed correctly.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to wear ones lower garments whilst standing. In a narration of Abu Dawood, Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam has advised against wearing one’s sandals whilst standing:
نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن ينتعل الرجل قائماً
“Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam prohibited putting on of sandals whilst standing.”
‘Allāmah Khattābī states:
“It appears that he (Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) prohibited from putting on sandals whilst standing because putting them on whilst sitting is easier. It may also lead to him falling over if he is to wear them whilst standing. Hence, he commanded that one sit down and use his hands in order to save himself from adversity.”[1]
Hence, such rulings are not obligatory or necessary. They are given as advise to ensure the well being of a person.

قال أبو داود: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الرحيم أبو يحيى حدثنا أبو أحمد الزبيري حدثنا إبراهيم بن طَهْمان، عَن أبي الزبير عن جابر قال: نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن ينتعل الرجل قائماً.
قال الشيخ: يشبه أن يكون إنما نهى عن لبس النعل قائماً لأن لبسها قاعداً أسهل عليه وأمكن له وربما كان ذلك سبباً لانقلابه إذا لبسها قائماً فأمر بالقعود له والاستعانة باليد ليأمن غائلته والله أعلم.
