What does the Qur’an say about ‘Hell’?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org
Answer

Hell is called Jahannum or place of fire. It is the eternal place for
disbelievers and a temporary place for sinful believers. The Qur’aan
describes the fierce blazes of the fire.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘The fire of this world is
1/70 of the fire of Hell.’ He said, ‘The fire of Jahannum burnt for 1000
years until it was red, then another 1000 years until it was white, then
another 1000 years until it turned black.’

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
