Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) expressed his wish to delay the Esha Salaat. Therefore, it is desirable to delay the Esha Salaat. However, one should avoid a decrease in the congregational Salaat in so doing. (Hidaaya vol.1)
