I would like to know if we can name a child Jibrael or Mikael, names of the angels? if not why not?

The preferred and correct view of the majority of Ulama is that it is permissible to name a child with the name of an angel eg.Jibraeel, Mikaeel etc. (AL-Majmoo’ Vol.8 Pg.328, Mughnil Muhtaaj Vol.4 Pg.295, AL-Iqnaa’ Vol.2 Pg.294, Matalibu Ulin Nuhaa Vol.2 Pg.495)
