Benefits of Huroof-e-Muqatta’aat (Lohe-Quran)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I have read your fatwa regarding Lohe-qurani benefits.. That the benefits have been tested. However, I want to ask that don’t you think it might be a kind of shirk ? We don’t know the meaning of Lohe-qurani nor do we find anything about benefits of lohe qurani in the quran or sunnah. If it isn’t shirk, maybe then it’s biddah ? Can you please elaborate?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Huroof-e-Muqatta’aat (Lohe-Quran) are part of the Quran and the meanings of the Huroof-e-Muqatta’aat are not known.

The Quran may be recited for relieving oneself from problems, difficulties, and other such permissible necessities.[1]

One may recite such verses with the belief that Allah Ta’ala is the Ultimate Curer.

As such, reciting such verses is not bidah as one does not regard the practice as compulsory in Deen.
