In Islam is revenge allowed?

I have read somewhere ‘the best among you is the one who takes revenge then forgives?’ Is this right and in what sense?

Answer:

Almighty Allah Ta’ala says, ‘And whosoever make Sabr and forgives, verily,
that is from among the deeds of courageous people.’

and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
