Unloyal Friend Haunts My Dreams: Two Strange Encounters

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I recently discovered that my male friend hasn’t been loyal as a friend and consequently, I have cut him out. For the last two evenings, I’ve dreamed of him even though he hasn’t been on my mind.

Dream #1:

I dreamed that around the corner from where I currently live, lived a woman who can read people somehow. She looked after children. (I’m not sure if I asked or if she just mentions it) she tells me that he will come right and that I should croak like a frog close to the light switch. However, I’m not sure what sound a frog makes to which a little boy explains. I can’t make the sound and instead, I say “quack”. It starts raining.

Dream #2:

My male friends family fetch me. We are on a bus and his sisters baby girl comes to play with me. Then we get to his house and the baby girl is still with me. I go to the lounge and his mom is sitting there and we greet each other. Suddenly kitchen staff are apparent which my friend sent for us to sort out food for us. The one kitchen lady walks to the table to place salad on a table but she looks annoyed and gives my friends mother a funny look to which I am appalled and we (his mother and I) mention to each other that the lady had an attitude. Yet his mother seemed chilled.

What does this mean?

A: You should not be in contact with this boy as he is a na-mahram to you. The Hadith explains “Whenever a na-mahram male and female are in seclusion then the third one is shaitaan. Both the dreams shows that if you pursue this impermissible relationship, you will always be faced with miseries and grief.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
