Can you trust restaurants in non-Muslim countries to serve halal food?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
You are in a restaurant to eat food in a non-Muslim country, you order fish but you are not sure which oil is used for cooking (vegetable oil or oil of some animal etc) you ask that if its Halal or Haram but you cannot get a reply. And this happens to you in almost all restaurants you visit, should you take that fish or not? Will it be halal or not?
In some restaurants in non-Muslim country it is written Halal but at the same time they also serve Haram food, you are not sure if they speak the truth or not, in that case can you take the food or not? Will it be halal?

If one is not sure rather has some doubt then one should not eat it. He should eat only the bread with some other thing.
