Is it permissible to fast without ghusl if there is only 30-35 minutes before Fajr? Does ihtilam break a fast?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
(1) A few times it happened to me that ghusl was wajib in the night, but I did not take it thinking by taking it in the early morning before Fajr, but if on the next day, I have to do “fast (fardh/nafl)” and time remained for Sehari is 30-35 minutes, instead of taking ghusl I did Sehri and recited dua of fast (intention of fast) and then took ghusl. So, I want to know is it permitted or my fast was invalid.
(2) If in the state of fast during day time, someone had ihtilam, then fast breaks or not? Please answer these queries.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1373/989/D=1433)

(1) Your fast was valid though it is not good to eat Sehri without ghusl. However it is lawful, hence fast was complete.
(2) Fast does not break by ihtilam.
