Doubts on Divorce

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by CouncilofUlama.co.za

Q: When I am half asleep I keep having thoughts that someone is pressuring me to say divorce and one day I think I might have said half the word in urdu whilst I was half asleep. Then when I woke up I kept saying ta- (half the word in Urdu) to myself without saying the full word. Does any of this consitute divorce?

A: Ignore all these thoughts etc. Your marriage is still intact. The next time these thoughts enter your mind read tauwuz or make some zikr.
