From where should a Musaafir start Calculating his Qasr Distance?

Q: From where should a Musaafir start calculating his Qasr distance? From his residence or from the end of habitation?

A: He should start calculating the safr distance from the border of the area. The border of the area refers to the place where the residential area ends.
