Is it haram to wear fur?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.

It is in itself permitted to wear fur, though fur of endangered animals, or of animals slaughtered in cruel ways is best avoided–as cruelty to animals is a serious sin.
