Can one accept being gay. Re: Are bad thoughts haram, or merely acting on them

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

So one can ‘accept’ being gay, and it not considered a sin? What exactly does your status have to be in order for it to be sinful? Is it just sodomy?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

The discussion in the answer quoted [below] is regarding thoughts, not opinions and beliefs. It is sinful to ‘accept’ that which is sinful, and highly dangerous to consider it permitted (halal). The latter can even reach outright unbelief in some cases.

And Allah alone gives success.
